New MacBook Air 2020 & Hottop: Can't Connect

I've been using my Hottop KN-8828B-2K+ and Artisan for a couple of years with an old MacBook Pro that finally died. I just got a new MacBook Air 2020 but cannot get Artisan to connect to my Hottop.

I know my USB-C port is working because I can connect my phone to my MacBook Air.

Under Artisan Config ... Port ... I select FT230X Basic UART. I am using the native driver. Artisan 2.4.0.

It seems there is no connectivity at all... no operations work, no data from the Hottop.

Any ideas?

There is a bug in Artisan v2.4.0 that prevents the Hottop to connect correctly. This has been fixed and will be released as part of v2.4.2 soon. Until then you have to use the previous release v2.1.2.

This is the answer ive been looking for.. im going to try this today.

Had so many issues with connection. It has felt like a bug as sometimes connection works and sometimes it doesn't.
