It does not show on the donations list. Is that a manually updated list?

220v Electric oven thermostat & Presto poplite
battlepoint
Does anyone know if you could use a 50-300*C 220V AC 16A Electric Oven Dial Thermostat Temperature Control Switch on a presto poplite's main electric coil. I understand that the secondary coil works with the fan motor so that you would not want to limit that as it would slow the motor. I have done my best to search everywhere for an answer to this question. I would assume that the 220V oven dial thermostat would still turn 110V on and off. This is a bulb style thermostat and as the fluid expands it puts pressure on the bellows which then open and close the contacts. My guess is that it is too slow and that temperature would swing to widely. I saw one on ebay for less than $4.

Your guess is right about temperature swing with such thermostat.
For same or close amount you better get a dimmer controller, as this:

You still need a thermometer, but this is valid for your oven thermostat too, can't rely on the thermostat scale instead actual temperature measurement, precision is pathetic.
