Hi! Looking for a legacy inlet temp sensor on 13 yr old Gene Cafe. It seems they've changed it and now you need new mother board and new sensor. Any ideas where I can find compatibile old one? Mark

Hi from Northern Nevada

I've been roasting my own coffee now for about 2 years and lurking on forums. I'm an electrical engineer and have a knack for software/firmware as well. Besides coffee I brew beer/wine/cider as well as cheese making.

So far I've gone from Air Popper, to modified Air Poppers, and finally to my own hot air roaster I built from scratch (Bailing wire, Gum, Duct Tape, etc...hahaha). But, really though its a mattress inflator from Walmart, a heat gun from harbor freight, an empty peach can, a light dimmer, and a custom controller hooked to an SSR. All in all it worked pretty well but I wanted something better integrated + more automated...

Anyways, I decided to join here in order to share what I've been learning and working on. Maybe some of you all will find it interesting? Fully prepared for BBQ grill

But for now, nice to meet you all.

Welcome Aaron

Of course we will find it interesting - start a thread and post away!

Great to have you on board Aaron and also great to have more members with expertise in the digital world with the increasing interest our members have in automating their roasters.

Post often!
