Hi! Looking for a legacy inlet temp sensor on 13 yr old Gene Cafe. It seems they've changed it and now you need new mother board and new sensor. Any ideas where I can find compatibile old one? Mark

Hi From Massachusetts
Hi All,

Happy to be welcomed to Home Roasters. I am...shockingly enough...a home roaster myself.

7 years ago I started roasting with a poppery II (of course)
I used this method for 2 years then took a break
About 3 years ago I picked up a heat gun and started using the HGDB method, roasting up to a pound at a time from sweet marias. Loved it!

Lately I've become obsessed with building some home roasters and found this forum.

First I built a modified Heat-Gun Flour Sifter roaster and was very happy with it - but almost immediately began doing the research to build a micro-fluid bed roaster. Great... now I'm fixated and cannot stop until I have exhausted myself and burned enough coffee to supply all of the Starbucks in Boston.

I'm hoping to find other roasters in the area - maybe to meet up and learn more - maybe to sell some of my prototypes to. Hit me up!
