Bread Maker roast size limit
greencardigan
Hi All,

Does anyone know a rough upper limit for the green bean load for a bread maker roaster? For the usual size square shaped loaf pans, not the elongated rectangular ones.

A browse through some threads here did not reveal any upper limits.

I'm currently roasting with my little air roaster which can do 250g roasted per batch. I want to be able to do double this. That's 500g roasted which would be about 650g green.

Is this doable?

I found a post from David suggesting that 1.5 lb was about the upper limit. That's 680 grams which should be fine for me.

Glad you were able to find that Brad. The bread machine roaster has a large roast capacity.

I heard same claim in local forums too and I found curious that a bread machine agitator is more capable than a drum...
If we apply the 6 l for 1 kg formula, taken from drum capacity vs dimensions word of mouth, and apply for 680 grams, the result is 4 l capacity of a bread machine, which obviously is not true.
