Morning Ed, I haven't done any green coffee hoarding yet but am hoping the supplies don't end up like the toilet paper isles!

Hello from Bend Oregon
Corkus
Hello. Great Forum. I've been looking for this place...

I have an old FreshRoast machine and want to build a small fluid bed roaster ~100-150g. Maybe I'll use a heat gun. I might take that old roaster apart, who knows. Only used it 12 times.

I like to wire stuff up and apply power but I sure don't know what I'm doing trying to make a roaster. Should be fun.

Hello from Portland. I use a Freshroast SR500 and always wonder why anyone would want to built their own. Anyway, welcome and Bend is a fun town!

MPSAN, do you recommend buying green coffee at Mr Green Beans in Portland?

Well, I have looked online but I have been very happy with Happy Mug. Not sure what Mr Green Beans has at the moment, but the thought of trying to find a place to park makes it a good choice for Happy Mug. A lot of members here also get Happy Mug Beans. Cory, are you in Portland? I am in the West Hills.

Dave, I moved to Bend recently and never lived in Oregon before. I have been to the West Hills area a couple of times. That area reminds me of San Francisco which I think is a very cool thing.

I was wondering if Mr Green Beans was a good option. I bought beans from Sweet Marias.

I had not heard anything bad about Mr. Green Beans except someone on Yelp said a staff person did not seem to have much time for them. I like the coffee I have gotten from HappyMug, but Sweet Marias is good, too.

We moved here from the SF bay area...Silicon Valley...and I like to say the Portland West Hills area is like Hartford, CT without the snow.
