I will say, it only happened once, briefly, to me.

Post roast bean cooling
voripteth
I asked Jonas about bean cooling on the Bullet, specifically about the lack of a stirring mechanism like on the Hottop. He replied:

There will be no bean agitation in the cooling tray. We want to keep everything as simple as possible, and since the Probatino does not use one, we didn't see the need as well. The fan is not your average computer fan, its extremely capable.
The cooling tray connects with a wire directly to the roaster, so there is no need for additional connections.

I replied that I was disappointed that it didn't have an agitator in the cooling try. He replied:

Sorry to disappoint you regarding the cooling tray. You are the first one who has asked for this, and yes, you need to stirr the beans for the first 30sec.

I guess since I have to be there to dump the roast, I might as well stir the beans as well. I'm spoiled by my Hottop. ;)

Voripteth: I've had occasion on a couple times to see the beans dump out into the tray. This was with a 150pounder Probat shop roaster. As soon as he MANUALLY spred the beans to cover the holes that the mixer had left uncovered, he turned off the mixer. I asked him why. Was told that once the beans are evenly disributed and all the perforations were covered, that is as good as it gets. So provided that's true, we only need the mixer on long enough to make a flat even later. Any more mixing could uncover some holes and lower the cooling efficiency. So not even30 seconds is needed. Ben.
Bad coffee prevails when good coffee roasters stand by and do nothing.

Manually stirring the roasted beans probably isn't a big deal. The bowl they dump into isn't flat, though so I imagine that stirring is required. My Hottop cools for several minutes but Jonas' recommendation of 30 seconds will certainly stop the roast.
