Anyone else have issues seeing the whole window of a thread when accessing from a mobile phone? Any fixes?

Morning Ed, I haven't done any green coffee hoarding yet but am hoping the supplies don't end up like the toilet paper isles!

sheen on the bean, or yes huehue
OK done lots of threading my way thru threads on this site, several years worth. Extremely beneficial. Here is how I am doing about 10 roasts in:

cold start to 482 degree reading: 4.8 minutes
some hits and misses early on, notably missed maui mocha I thought, one under one over.

last two roasts I felt were interesting
8 ounces HueHue shb
preheat 400 for three minutes.
20 minutes at 482
19 3.5.4.
18 3.7.5.
17 4.0.2.
16 4.2.4.
15 4.3.8. yellow
14 4.5.1.
13 4.6.4.
12 4.7.3.
11 4.8.0. 1C
10 4.7.4.
9 4.7.8.
2C at 7.8 remaining, ecool at 7.5
so 3.5 minutes to second
some sheen, not much oil, per Burman instructions

for comparison, second roast yesterday
began at 200 degrees cooldown level
Nicaragua Selva Negra 8 ounces
20 minutes at 471
19 3.1.4.
18 3.7.5.
17 oops
16 4.3.3.
15 4.4.7. Yellow
14 4.6.4.
13 4.6.4.
12 4.6.2.
11 4.7.1. 1C at 10.5 remaining bump to 462
10 4.6.9.
9 4.6.2.
8 4.6.0.
at 6.5 got nervous and bumped to 469
2C 1 min later at 5.5
so 5 minutes to second, which was Burman reco roast level

Interesting to note that second roast had caught up to the higher preheat for the first roast within two minutes, and had higher exit temps at 16, 15, and 14 minutes with a lower target setting (?). first was thirty seconds later for the lower temp roast, and with the bumpdown stretched longer to 2C than I was shooting for. After the first crack, the temps on roast one stayed 471 to 478 for the shorter roast and 469 to 460 exit temps for the second longer one.

Both roasts got into first at 9 minutes in and 9.5 respectively, so nowhere near the 13 minutes I see some targeting.

Are the 13 minute folks doing a bean warm to get the longer first crack times? I did preheat but no bean warms since these were hard beans.

This is fun! Laissez les bons temps roulez!

Sampled today both coffees will be great.
Thanks Wally

Hi, Wally.

You're doing great! I' for one' don't necessarily target 13 minutes, but my GC does not heat as fast as yours. You have a remarkably quick Gene Cafe. Mine take about 90 seconds longer to hit 482F from a cold, empty start.

Have fun!

Respect the bean.
