Nesco roaster. Help needed
I have loved my Nesco roaster, however it burned up.
I don't want to buy a new one.
I have been pan roasting for the past few years and switching from store bought, but now I need to get the old roaster up and running.

The part is the stupidly plastic pulley, it melted ( surprise)

Does anyone know where to get another pulley? It would be so simple to replace. I don't have a welder or I would try to make my own.
Have you tried contacting Nesco to see if that part might still be available?

The reason the pulley melted is because the fan stopped spinning. Why did it stop spinning? Because the motor stopped. Why did the motor stop?:

1) The drive circuit is defective.
2) The motor has 'dead spot' on the armature.
3) The bearings are shot and it siezed up.
4) Motor brushes are worn out.

I have encounterd 3 events of #3, one event of #2, and never a problem with the drive circuit or brushes. I doubt that a new pulley will fix it. Doesn't matter because Nesco will not sell 'internal parts' to a customer.

More info:

Since they are not designed to last for more than 100 pounds of green, get a new one...
