Eth Nat Yirg Idido roasted yesterday. I dropped some off at a friends coffee shop. In a few days he will brew it and tell me what he thinks. We believe my roasts are better than what we buy.

New forum for the creative folks around here!!
ginny
Hi all:

I have had multiple members ask about having a Latte Art Forum and frankly I thinks it's a great idea so here we are...

I also have a friend Nathan who does incredible work and will help out when he can!

Thanks, enjoy and check out http://www.ratemyrosetta.com
for some very inspiring work!

Yeah, right now I'm just trying to be the best at puffy clouds latte art. I've got cumulus mastered already.

Actually, truth be told, the solenoids went out of both groups of my premier V a couple of weeks ago and I haven't had time to mess with them. Weird, I know.

I will take a photo of the hearts when I find the camera
But here is one of fruity latte art

Its an apple poured for my daughter as a happy holiday send off when she visited New York Christmas/New Year 2008/9

While she was away I built my current roaster

Does it look like the big apple NY City ?? Just not red

I've been practicing latte art for a few years now. The best line I have ever heard is: You can only make latte art once you stop trying to...

Meaning: Stop tryyying to pour leaves etc. and just let if flow. I learnt by watching youtube videos for a month or so and then running around in my hostel handing out failed attempts to everyone. Great for practice, but a little hard on the pocket! :)

I did this one while working on a Mirage Veloce 2 group lever machine in Plettenburg Bay a few years back. What in incredible machine!! It is designed and hand build by Kees van der Westen, who also designed the La Marzocco flagship series. The shop I worked in was run by two ladies who travelled the world looking for the best coffees as air hostesses. We stopped the whole shop every few hours to re-adjust the Compak grinders and test if the shots are still good. Amazing little shop!

Here is one of my more recent attempts...The thing about latte art: it comes and goes. One week you can make works of art, the next you're absolutely useless

Well, my friend hardly had any practice before then with latte art and now he's almost a pro! You've got to start somewhere!!

So do you guys have any vids of your HUGS groups?
