Hi! Looking for a legacy inlet temp sensor on 13 yr old Gene Cafe. It seems they've changed it and now you need new mother board and new sensor. Any ideas where I can find compatibile old one? Mark

peveleth, It is better if you start a post in the forum with your question. These shouts go away in time.

chaf not separating SR540
DendroScott
Hi everyone,

Since there's not a SR540 "about" discussion board per se, I thought I'd ask my question here. I recently purchased a Fresh Roast SR540. So far its great, and I definitely prefer it over my thrift store popper finds. Unfortunately, the chaff is not totally separating throughout the roast process, no matter which kind of coffee I roast. I still have to use colanders and a box fan to blow the rest of the chaff away when I'm done roasting. Is this normal with this style roaster?

Thanks,

Scott

It is normal with any style roaster, there is a non negligible amount of chaff removed in the cooling tray/phase for most roasting methods.
